Have you ever seen a meeting, or any formal occasion for that matter, kicking off before being officiated by the invited VIP(s)?
It's like getting your Bachelor's Degree before the Yang di Pertua or Naib Cansellor had their speech; accepting your Datukship before the sultan took His Highness' seat; sending out minutes of a meeting before your boss had even said anything; wiping your backside before your brain got a signal from your stomach that it's got a load to get rid of ...
Well guess what, it's Malaysia Boleh again, as this afternoon, in Ipoh, we added an all-new entry to the list of examples above - convening a state assembly before a Regent made His Highness' speech and officiated the sitting.
And the best part is, it seems no authority will be accepted, let alone respected, if it doesn't bear the seal of BN. Speaker V Sivakumar was 'ousted' by his own deputy Hee Yit Fong (think she needs a lecture from Muhyiddin on "how to be a number two"), the state assembly secretary and the sergeant-at-arms, being civil servants, refused to oblige the orders of the Sivakumar, as if he speaks BM with too thick an Indian accent. But when R Ganesan was 'elected' as the 'Speaker', the sergeant-at-arms suddenly got used to listen to that same accented BM and physically removed Sivakumar from his seat, with the help of some unknown plain clothes personnel.
All these, before the Regent even burped or coughed (long live His Majesty, hope His Majesty hasn't been to Mexico), let alone made a speech.
And thambi Zambry Abdul 'Kadi' thinks the four motions he 'passed' can stand?
Come on la thambi. Let's say, one fine day in the Parliament, 40 BN MPs fail to turn up for a sitting, 25 of those present go take a leak, Anwar passed a motion to remove Pandikar Amin with his 81 votes, and all these get done even before Tuanku Mizan delivers His Majesty's speech, will you say it's valid?
Ada paavi...
